Wide range of fine art, art glass and furnishings will be offered at Pacific Galleries’ Modern in Premier Auction on Sunday, April 13. An extensive collection of works by noted Northwest and Modern artists will be offered. Included are original works by Mark Tobey, Guy Anderson, George Tsutakawa, Gerard Dillon, Fernand Leger, a large glass Seaform set by Dale Chihuly, Modern mid-century furniture and decorative arts. Two large paintings by Guy Anderson (1906-1998, Washington) are featured in the sale. The pieces are from the estate of the model depicted in the artworks, a close friend of the artist. This fine example of Anderson’s work was done in the early 1970s at the artist’s home studio in Washington state.
Another amazing item is a large seven-piece suite from renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly. Titled Flaming Maple Seaform Set with Carbon Lip Wrap, will benefit the Bush School in Seattle and provide funds to support programs, services and supplies needed to help students thrive. The center bowl measures 9 inches high, 24 inches by 14 inches.
