Patric Dempsey is adding watch designer to his enviable resume launching a collection with Porsche Design. A revamped version of their Porsche Design Dashboard Automatic Chronograph, this limited edition watch is scheduled to be released June 15. Porsche Design Dempsey Racing Watch will be made of titanium, with a matte black dial, easy-grip crown, non-reflective sapphire crystal and will be water resistant up to 100 meters.
“For men, the major piece of jewelry is a watch,” Dempsey told WWD. “There’s always a fascination with great movements and how intense the labor is that goes into it—and, of course, telling the time.”
This timepiece is limited to only 50 pieces. Patrick Dempsey and his Dempsey Racing team will continue their partnership with Porsche for the next two seasons.“We are looking forward to the new season and to many more successful years partnering with Porsche,” said Dempsey, who matched his career-best result with a second-place GT Challenge class finish with teammates Andy Lally and Joe Foster in Saturday’s Petit Le Mans — the season and series finale of the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) at the storied Road Atlanta race track. “Every race season brings along a number of interesting challenges. The partnership with Porsche this year was the absolute highlight and the main reason for the success we enjoy.”
