The breaking up can be really hard. Especially, if the real estates are involved in the full story. You can ask David Cassidy how it looks like, since “The Partridge Family” star has lowered the asking price for his Fort Lauderdale, FL, home for the third time. David Cassidy and his soon-to-be ex-wife recently significantly lowered the price of their Florida mansion in order to sell it, in anticipation of the couple’s upcoming divorce. Cassidy’s wife recently filed for divorce after Cassidy was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol for the third time.
Cassidy first listed the home in August 2013 with a $4.49 million asking price, and after spending a quiet six months in the market, the cost was reduced to $3.9 million in January this year. Failing to sell even after the chop, Cassidy is further reducing the asking price, which is now $3.49 million.
The 7,016-square-foot home, sits on a 0.44-acre lot in a gated compound and offers privacy and all the amenities of a resort. It features five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, and has an open floor plan and custom-built closets and cabinetry. The property boasts a huge master suite with its own formal entry, an exercise room, a patio and a separate office with a fireplace. Other highlights include a second-floor “guest VIP suite” with a separate sitting area and balcony, a host of custom finishes and a backyard oasis complete with a pool, spa and boat dock.
Cassidy’s Harbor Beach home was extensively updated in 2006, and subsequently rented out until Cassidy was forced to take legal action against his tenants for what he claimed was non-payment of rent.
