Bovet by Pininfarina Collection made its debut in 2010, and has already featured three exclusive tourbillon timepieces the Ottanta, the Ottantadue, and the Ottantatre (Italian for Eighty, Eighty One, and Eighty Two), as well as the chronograph Cambiano available in many different versions. As a part of the Pininfarina collection, and the latest piece in the series, the Bovet 1822 Sergio Split-Second Chronograph Watch is based on the “Sergio” concept car designed by Pininfarina on Ferrari cues. It was named in honor of late Sergio Pininfarina, who was the president of the family business for 40 years, and showcased at the Geneva Motor Show 2013.
As its name implies, it is capable of measuring any number of intermediate times, a function particularly sought-after in the world of motor sport. Specs include the Amadeo convertible system that makes it possible for you to switch from a wristwatch to a pocket watch. It features 45mm steel case with the sapphire back. Its movement is a self-winding mechanical chronograph, featuring a small-second, a 30 minute counter and a power-reserve indicator.
The Sergio Split-Second Chronograph is available in a limited edition of 250 timepieces.
