Leslie Moonves, the president and CEO of CBS Network, has finally found buyer for his La Costa Beach pad in Malibu. According to the Real Estalker, Moonves’s beach pad hit the listing market early in March, for $12.99 million. It was price-chopped to last list at $11.99 million.
The transaction comes as no surprise, since Moonves and his wife, TV personality Julie Chen bought billionaire and Microsoft Corp. co-founder Paul Allen’s place on Carbon Beach this spring for $28.8 million. That house has five bedrooms, seven bathrooms and 6,500 square feet of living space.
However, Les Moonves’ La Costa Beach residence spreads on 3,014 square feet and has three bedrooms and three full and one half bathrooms. Hardwood flooring, floor-to-ceiling glass windows, beamed and drywall ceilings and an open floor plan make the unique design of the modern, contemporary house. On the main level, there’s a great room combines the living room, a dining area and a kitchen with stainless-steel appliances and an island. The rooms open to an ocean-view patio. Other rooms in the house include den/media room, a master bedroom with a fireplace, two guest bedrooms and four bathrooms.
There is a spa in the courtyard and a beach-facing lounging area.
“Beautiful La Costa Beach home done in the very best taste with the finest craftsmanship,” the listing reads.
Moonves and Chen bought the property in 2008 for $10 million, public records show. The couple own an in-town house in Beverly Hills.
