Burberry continues to delight their fans with customization option for their most sought products. Thanks to its new service, you can now own Burberry’a warm winter accessories with your own initials.
From September, you’ll be able to order your own version of the Fall/Winter 2014 ponchos and the Heritage scarves, with your initials, online via Burberry.
The process starts with the cashmere ponchos and scarves dyed and spun into yarn and woven into cloth on traditional looms in Scotland at a family-run mill established in 1797, and then customized with a choice of up to three initial letters at Blyth on the Northumberland coast.
The latest pieces saw Christopher Bailey update classic Burberry designs which were originally created for activities including shooting, motoring and cycling, adding an equestrian touch with blanket-stitched edging. Colors fall within the collection’s autumnal palette with geometric patterns and leaf and thistle motifs.
The London-based luxury brand has previously allowed customers to add their own mark to clothing with its ‘Runway Made to Order’ service which let fans of the brand pre-order outerwear and bags with their names engraved on special nameplates inside the coats and purses.
