New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez purchased Meryl Streep’s Hollywood Hills house for $4.8 million. The Oscar-winning actress bought the house early last year for $4.5 million. She first listed the home late in April, this year, for $6.7 million, but since she couldn’t find the buyer, the home was given two pricechoppers in May within a fortnight, and last listed for $5.25 million. Known as the 1954 Research House, it was designed by Honnold & Rex for Architectural Products’s experimental Research House program.
This multiple-level modern home sits on a 0.36-acre lot and features the 3,700 square feet of living space. There’s entry, dining and family rooms, four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The home has a modern kitchen, an office/ study and huge bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms.
