Shangri-La Hotel, At The Shard, occupies levels 34 to 52 of The Shard, Renzo Piano’s iconic building. On its last level, there’s West Europe’s highest swimming pool. Designed by Hong Kong-based interior designer Andre Fu, the 34ft-long “skypool”, as it is being referred to by the hotel stands a staggering 600ft above the city, offering views over the Thames, Westminster and St Paul’s Cathedral. On the same level, guests can enjoy in the hotel’s Gong bar, also Fu’s artwork.
One of the highest swimming pools in the world is heated to 24C and open from 6am to 8pm every day for hotel’s guests. This is the latest addition to facilities at the £450 per night hotel.
