What certainly made America’s Got Talent finale so special and memorable is Nick Cannon and his diamond-encrusted shoes. Obviously, the 33-year-old entrepreneur has found special way to cope with his pending divorce from Mariah Carey. He stepped on stage in a $2 million pair of Tom Ford shoes, which he commissioned from Beverly Hills jeweler Jason Arasheben. The founder and owner of the jewelry business Jason of Beverly Hills had a very serous mission to create the one-of-a-kind shoes encrusted with more than 14,000 full-cut round white diamonds set onto white gold, with a total carat weight of 340 carats.
Arasheben explained to WWD, “When Nick approached me last year, he said he wanted to make history and be so over-the-top. He wanted to set a new standard in diamonds. ‘How can we make the most expensive pair of shoes in the world and make this finale special?’ he asked me.”
The shoes took over a year to create and already attracted the attention of the Guinness Book of World Records. Currently, the shoes are under review as candidates for the Most Valuable Pair of Shoes in the world.
