2011 Bentley Continental GT
As you might know, the facelift version 2011 Bentley Continental GT will premiere at the Paris Motor Show this week, so the British automaker has decided to announce its price. MSRP rises by just under four percent from 2010 Continental GT MSRP. While it looks similar to its predecessor, Americans will be asked to shell out $189,900. The Brits will need to fork over £135,760 and Europeans will have to depart with €154,600.
What you get for that four percent rate? A lot actually. The company’s improved trademark W12 engin, which outputs 575 PS (567 bhp, 423 kW) and 700 Nm (515 lb-ft) of torque. It enables the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds (an improvement of 0.2 seconds) and hit a top speed of 198 mph. It sends power to all four wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission capable of delivering gear-skipping double downshifts for improved response.
The new Bentley Continental GT offers improved interior space, with an additional 46mm of legroom for the backseat passengers and comes with a 30GB infotainment system that offers touchscreen technology. Outside, the Continental GT gains new jeweled headlamps with LED running lights, a revised front grille and some tweaking to the outgoing car’s bodylines.
Bentley has confirmed that deliveries to customers will start in the first quarter of 2011. The company’s dealer network will be able to support customers wishing to place orders from next month onwards.
The 2011 Bentley Continental GT may be getting a four percent price increase over the outgoing model, but that $7,100 buys you a whole new ultra-luxe touring experience.
