Etihad Airways’ inaugural A380 flight departed from Abu Dhabi International Airport to London Heathrow on Saturday morning. Flight EY11 departed from Abu Dhabi International Airport at 2.35am and landed in London Heathrow at 6.35am. And, the most unique and luxury part of the commercial aircraft is The Residence – onboard hotel suite. And, the honor to be the first guest of $20,000 flying hotel suite belonged to the Miami-based businessman, Gino Bertuccio.
He enjoyed a forward upper-deck cabin which features a living room, separate double bedroom and en suite shower room, as well as service of a personal butler – trained by the Savoy Butler Academy in London.
“For the first time in my flying experience, I really don’t know what to expect but I do know that flying in the Residence by Etihad will be a truly unique adventure, the top of luxury,” he said in a statement.
“I have huge expectations. My only wish is that the flight was longer.”
Gino who heads a personal hygiene and cosmetics company, was also on the inaugural Qatar Airways A380 flight from Doha to London.
