Pop singer Katy Perry is one of the celebrities who have ventured into the world of fragrances, joining the race of the market. In fact, Katy Perry, who owns a collection of over 50 perfumes, has decided to participate in the creation of her own fragrance, from the name, to the bottle design and the fragrance notes themselves.
The perfume, named Purr, is inspired by her Catwoman stage outfit. The composition of Katy Perry’s Purr is developed by Firmenich perfumer house, combining top notes of peach, forbidden apple and green bamboo with the heart of jasmine, pink freesia and Bulgarian rose and the base of vanilla orchid, creamy sandalwood and musk.
As usual Katy Perry pushes the envelope and her fragrance ad is no different that anything else she does. Katy’s first fragrance ad was inspired by Purr’s Gorgeous Katy Perry Signed 8×10 Photocat shape bottle and name. Perry’s outfit for the fragrance ad is a skin tight latex cat suit that is half purple an half pink. The suit is decorated with leopard spots, a plunging neck line and a chocker. Katy is seen on all fours playing with a large ball of pink yarn.
Katy Perry Purr will be available from November at Nordstrom as 30, 50 and 100 ml EDP and an accompanying collection of bath foam and body lotion. The eau de parfum will start at $36 for a 1-oz. bottle.
