This gorgeous Fifth Avenue apartment owned by interior designer Howard Slatkin is actually homage to Versailles. Slatkin bought a 1920s Museum Mile apartment overlooking Central Park’s picturesque northern terrain, nearly two decades ago, and spent 33 months combining two 14th-floor units, and then another 17 years transforming it into a mini Versailles. Now, an ornate apartment has hit the market, asking $10 million. The apartment is now “a finished canvas,” Slatkin tells the Times.

The monthly maintenance charges on the residence, No. 14AB, at 1215 Fifth Avenue on the northeast corner of 102nd Street, are $8,427.
