You’re already informed about revolution in luxury oral care, since just last year we wrote about Theodent 300 and titanium toothbrush – Reinast. If you think there’s no more innovation in dental hygiene, you’re wrong. Now, forget about toothpaste, since Japanese designer Kosho Ueshima collaborated with Japanese technology company Yumeshokunin to design an incredible toothbrush which uses nanotechnology to clean your teeth.
The Misoka toothbrush features bristles which are 0.178 millimeters thick coated in nano-sized mineral ions measuring one billionth of a metre in diameter. When you brush, mineral ions move in the water and pass from the bristles to the teeth, removing stains and forming a protective coating on the enamel. To activate the brush, all that’s needed is a dip in a cup of water.
“Even without toothpaste, your teeth stay as shiny and clean as though you just walked out of a teeth-cleaning session at the dentist’s,” said the designers.
If you brush properly (not overly hard), the Misoka toothbrush will last for about a month. It will be available with a cast aluminum holder. Prices are yet to be announced, after its debut at this week’s 2015 Milan Design Week.
