For this Fall, Marc Jacobs has prepared the most luxurious scented accessory. Famous fashion designer presents Decadence, his first “mature” fragrance in 2015. Decadence joins Daisy, Lola, and Dot in the collection of fragrances by Jacobs, and this one is most certainly the sexy, sophisticated one. “I like the idea of that extrovert, that show-off, and I like the things that symbolize her – whether it’s the beads or the feathers or the sequins,” says Jacobs. “It’s all the trappings of the extrovert more interesting to me than they ever were before.”
The rich and elegant composition of Decadence was created in collaboration with perfumer Annie Buzantian. The top notes include Italian plum, saffron and iris. Bulgarian rose, Sambac jasmine and orris root form the heart of the perfume, while the base includes warm liquid amber, vetiver and papyrus wood.
The bottle design, which is a “personal talisman” of the designer as a symbol of opulence and glamour, is reminiscent of an emerald green handbag with python pattern, gold chain and black tassel.
The ad campaign, which will debut online in September and in print come October, shot by Steven Meisel features a barely clothed Adriana Lima rolling around on the floor in utter abandon.
Decadence will be available as 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum, and the collection will also include a body lotion and bath gel.
