The Italian airline Alitalia is getting a new luxury facelift. Following the takeover of 49% of the company by Etihad Airways, Alitalia unveiled its new modern and luxurious look, and numerous ideas for the future. Their aim is to become a leader in long-haul air traffic, as well as to be at the top of the list for luxury and quality of services provided to its passengers.
What is presented for the first time was a new livery on a Airbus A330. The green line which was a hallmark of the company Alitalia is now gone. The focus of the new design is now a stylized letter A on the tail of the plane, in the colors of the Italian flag.
From July 1, all of Alitalia’s widebody international aircraft will be retrofitted with the upgrades. These upgrades will also include changes to the cabin decor, redesigning of seats and updating the in-flight entertainment system and internet connectivity on the long-haul fleet. Numerous well-known brands will decorate the interior of the aircraft Alitalia.
