Swiss Jaeger-LeCoultre, introduces its new masterpiece known as the Rendez-Vous Ivy Secret – a timepiece that combines values associated with traditional men’s watches with decorative elements often valued by women. Inspired by a Jaeger-LeCoultre model from the 1960s, the Rendez-Vous Ivy Secret white gold watch is a jewelry masterpiece that showcases the miniaturization skills of the Grande Maison.
The watch is named after the lush vines of ivy which symbolize love and fidelity throughout the ages. It is adorned with three types of diamonds – brilliant, baguette, and marquise cut – outline the shape of a flower that appears captured and frozen upon the glass, in a display of infinite beauty. The gemsetter’s talent lies in the ability to set each of the 304 diamonds adorning the Rendez-Vous Ivy Secret watch with the ideal placement in order to magnify the sparkle of the everlasting gems.
The cover of the watch opens up slightly for a glimpse of the time appearing on the dial. Edged with a graceful grain setting, the dial, with its iridescent reflections, is an ode to the skills of the Rare Handcrafts (Métiers Rares) of Swiss watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre. The ivy leaves are engraved and painted by hand, creating a realistic and yet delightfully poetic result.
