For over 150 years the house CAMUS weaves a historical link with the Borderies, the smallest and rarest vintage Cognac. This attachment, reinforced by successive acquisitions perpetuated by five generations of the family, make the Maison Camus, one of the largest owners in Borderies with 180 hectares planted with vines Ugni Blanc and Folle Blanche vineyards. Today CAMUS is the only big house to offer a range of 100% Borderies – mainly from the family vineyard.
In 2000, was created the first CAMUS XO Borderies only elaborated from brandy 100% Borderies. True success, slowly aged in oak barrels, this cognac reveals the extent of a rich and complex aromas where each step of the tasting reveals fruity, spicy and delicious before evolving into a rare expression of a final persistent floral nuances. Only a knowledge passed in the same family for five generations can guarantee a Cognac of such exceptional quality.
In line with this quest for excellence and innovation, the VSOP Borderies, created in 2012, is a unique expression that enhances the mineral style, lively and delicious Borderies. Every year, this VSOP is the subject of a new lot, each bottle is numbered. The 2015 edition unveils this year fresh and tasty notes of vanilla beans and orange peels in a whisper of sweet spices and flowers.
Finally, Rarissimes Borderies 2004 is a bold proposal of Cellar Master to develop the unique vintage Borderies on the market. The exceptional weather conditions this year have achieved the harvest at the right time, thus developing the aroma, finesse, balance and personality of a wine 100% Ugni Blanc distilled on the lees. The minerality on edge, the enthusiasm of its powerful aromas and the magnetic charm of his character both subtle and enchanting conquered CAMUS tasting committee decided to integrate naturally this vintage to the range.
