After a series of announcements, Audi, at this year’s auto show in Los Angeles will present a new concept car, or new A9 model, which currently bears the name Prologue. In short, it is a Coupe, with length of 5100 mm, width 1950 mm, height 1390 mm and wheelbase of 2940 mm, which could be the competitor to Mercedes S-class coupe.
Prologue is designed in Audi’s styling center in Ingolstadt, under the leadership of chief designer Marc Lichtea who came to this position in February. Prologue concept launches 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine with 605Hp and 750 Nm of torque, enough for this 1980 kg heavy car with a 4×4 drive accelerate to 60mph in 3.7 seconds.
It should be noted that the Prologue concept is also equipped with 22-inch alloy wheels (285/30 tires) and all four wheels drive. As far as the serial audi A9, this model is expected during 2017, with a redesigned single-frame grill, aluminum alloy frame and laser headlights.
