David and Victoria Beckham decided to sell their luxurious English mansion known as the Beckingham Palace, after 14 years as they seek a more cosmopolitan life in London. According to Daily Mail, they’re asking $15 million, and want to sell only to a private buyer instead of a developer who might cash in on their name and split the estate into luxury apartments.
The 24-acre estate located at Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire was picked up for £2.5 million ($3.8 million) in 1999. But the cost of renovating the mansion over the past years cost the celebrity couple well over the asking value now. They have added more facilities into this stunning property called Rowneybury House, including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a petting zoo, recording studio, a snooker room, a gym, and state-of-the-art floodlit tennis courts.
The garden has three £10,000 ($15,400) gazebos, each with a different theme – lakeside, romantic and ornamental. They have also installed a 52ft garden pavilion with a marble floor, which houses a 4ft barbecue that cost £70,000 ($107,700).
The famous couple who are raising their sons Brooklyn (13), Romeo (10), and Cruz (7), and daughter Harper (20 monts), 20 is now looking to buy a family home in Kensington or Mayfair.
