Cameron Diaz became artistic director of Pour La Victoire last summer after signing a two-year contract. And now, the 41-year-old actress has designed her first shoe line for this high fashion label. “When I first came to PLV, I saw the potential in it because it was a brand that didn’t really have its own identity. It was a little bit all over the place,” Diaz said. “I looked at it as an opportunity to help create that.”
Cameron worked closely with PLV‘s executive creative director, David Giordano, to create ‘something clean’ without ‘too many bells-and-whistles’. The result is a range of sleek cityworthy shoes in shades of black, white and grey. Maybe a bit unusually but Diaz’s name will not appear on the line and she will not be featured in any advertising campaigns. She said: ”I don’t want girls to aspire to be me. That’s not what this brand is about. It’s not about wearing a shoe I would wear. I want them to see themselves in this shoe.”
Cameron Diaz‘s selection of heels will be available this fall on ShopStyle.com, all priced between $250 and $500.
