To help commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of Hollywood legend, a Norwegian beverage company has bottled the sparkling bubbly, named Champagne Marilyn Monroe Premier Cru Brut. Officially marking fifty years of the death of Hollywood icon takes places next summer on August 5th.
Champagne Marilyn Monroe comprises 50 percent Chardonnay, 25 percent Pinot Noir and 25 percent Pinot Meunier, exquisitely produced in the Hautvillers, Cumières and Dizy areas of Champagne, France. The flavorful bubbly is described as holding fruity, silky and delicate notes, as well as possessing an elegant aroma, a result of being cellar-aged for three years, offering a truly pleasurable experience for champagne connoisseurs. It was produced by the French champagne house JM Gobillard & Fils for Norwegian company Rosmersholm.
The bottle of sparkling bubbly debuts at the world’s largest wine trade fair in Bordeaux this week, where 50,000 attendees from 47 countries are expected to converge. Champagne Marilyn Monroe Premier Cru Brut is expected to retail for €65 ($93) and comes with a set of six shapely flutes which are priced at €159 ($228) alone. [Champagne Marilyn Monroe]
