he Australian trio of Echo Yachts, designer Sam Sorgiovanni, and One2Three Naval Architects have released a futuristic 120-meter trimaran concept. The 120m Super Yacht project boasts the accolade of being the largest ever super yacht project undertaken in Australia. It is also one of the larger Trimaran Super Yacht ever undertaken in the world. The large and flexible interior offers plentiful accommodation spaces. Some of the onboard highlights include a touch and go landing pad on the foredeck with an additional sundeck helipad, outdoor dining areas for up to 26 guests, and separate owner’s outdoor entertainment area with private pool.
Communal entertaining spaces include an indoor cinema, swimming pool with counter-flow current, Jacuzzi, gym and spa. A large tender garage forward houses the yacht’s fleet of tenders.
The trimaran or ‘stabilised monohull’ form is reckoned by many to be better suited to guests who suffer from too much roll and movement in standard mono-hulls. The yard says the 120 metre concept is suited to various different types of propulsion systems, and with ‘at speed’ ride control and zero speed stabilizers will provide exemplary sea keeping, ride quality and reduced running costs.
The motor yacht will will have a maximum speed of 20 knots and have a range of 5,000 nautical miles at her cruising speed.
Currently under development at Echo Yachts are 84m Luxury Trimaran and 46m Shadow Vessel.
