Billionaire and the Liberty Media chairman, John Malone purchased a $38 million home on Florida’s Jupiter Island making it the most expensive home ever sold on the island off of Florida’s East Coast. The previous owner was the late Horst Brandstätter, who was the sole owner of Germany’s largest toy manufacturer, Geobra Brandstätter.
However, the property which sits on just a little more than 9 acres of land has a couple of hundred feet of oceanfront and over 500 feet frontage along the Intracoastal Waterway. The house is set atop a high point on the island which will give the new owners panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean at sunrise and sunset views over the Intracoastal. The home consists of a guest house, a putting green, a par-three golf hole, a private boat dock and a 3,144-square-foot beach house.
Engel & Volkers Real Estate said the home was the most sought after privately marketed properties on Jupiter Island.
