Longview – waterfront estate on New Hampshire’s Lake Winnipesaukee has been listed for sale through Christie’s International Real Estate at a staggering $49 million. The compound, which sits on 16.56 acres is nestled at the southeastern section of the lake, on the tip of Clay Point in Alton. It comprises of two residences with over 63,000 square feet of elegant living space, as well as manicured grounds, lakefront trails and outdoor entertaining areas.
For the price of $49 million, new owner will get 1,594 feet of water frontage, a pool with adjoining grotto, tennis court, two boat houses, post-and-beam barn residence and a tea house. The interior of the residences features marble flooring, custom woodwork, carved fireplace mantels, crystal chandeliers, and paneled libraries in the classic English country house-style. There’s even a two-story ballroom with a large fireplace and access to terraces for entertaining.
Longview was built by the Bahre family, founders of the New Hampshire International Speedway, who bought the land in 1995 for $2.2 million.
