Linley, a household name in British design, has revealed its latest collectors’ piece – London Boxes. Limited edition boxes will be launched as homage to the great London city depicting London skyline – the London Eye, the Barbican, the Swiss Re Building (more commonly known as “The Gherkin”, St Paul’s Cathedral, The Shard, Tower Bridge, the Willis Building, Big Ben and No. 10.
Crafted in dark stained walnut, the London skyline is portrayed on the top of the box using marquetry inlay in a variety of veneers.
The London Box is available to order as either a Jewellery Box or a Humidor. The boxes feature Sterling silver engravable plaques above the escutcheon; the Jewellery Box also features a plaque on the inner lid. These are ideal for engraving with personal messages or initials.
Linley is launched a series of 50 Limited Edition London Boxes, priced at £4,500 ($6,930) per piece.
