German jewelry maker, Denise Julia Reytan managed to create a luxurious and unique jewelry from an ordinary material such as plastic. Her jewelry is a simply reflections of herself.
Reytan uses material painting to make her creations, by drawing with stones and chains, combining materials and colours. She finds collected things that fascinate her, and with the silicone casting method she connects it together in one single piece of jewellery. These things are beloved objects from her life: things from childhood, jewellery from her family, from different times, countries or finds. By the use of cast plastic, Rayton unites all these objects in same colour, materiality and value.
