While in Italy performing her Sweet Fantasy tour, Mariah Carey stayed in an epic $60 million villa on Lake Como. The residence – known as Villa Napoleon I was built in the 18th century and was later home to the opera composer Vincenzo Bellini. Available for rent on Airbnb at a staggering $17,511 a night, eight-bedroom villa has all the essential features fitting of a diva – including Murano chandeliers, a greenhouse, private dock, children’s playground, gardens, home theater, 11 working fountains and a 12th century bell tower.
“Soaring ceilings, symmetrical layouts and elaborate moldings and frescoes make the interiors of Villa Napoleon I stately and traditional,” the listing boasts. “In the double-height music room, an antique piano and tufted sofas sit under pale peach walls and a second-floor gallery.
“Other sitting rooms feature a marble fireplace and mahogany bar, and fresh flowers from the estate’s garden provide a finishing touch.”
During her recent stay at Lake Como, the 46-year-old superstar posed silky lingerie and furry stilettos while making pizza with her 4-year-old daughter, Monroe. Carey is said to have thrown a karaoke party complete with wigs and props for her castmates and friends in town. Obviously, her pizza and karaoke parties are much different than ours.
