For the 87th edition of its recognizable Christmas Book, Neiman Marcus has prepared a limited-edition Aston Martin Vanquish Volante convertible. This year’s most expensive gift will be available in only 10 examples, at $344,500 each ($3,000 of which being donated to The Heart of Neiman Marcus Foundation, a youth-oriented charity). This carbon-fiber-bodied convertible similar to the one that British Royals Kate and William drove off in from their wedding.
All will be painted with a Neiman Marcus-exclusive Seychelles Blue to go with a black leather interior with blue accents. The brake calipers on the standard carbon ceramic brakes are also blue, while the headliner is finished in ivory Alcantara (faux suede). Hand build in in Gaydon, England, the car is mechanically, identical to the Volante that will head to dealerships in early 2014. That means, it comes equipped with a 6.0-liter V-12 engine that produces 565 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque.
Along with a limited edition Aston Martin Vanquish Volante convertible, the 87th annual Neiman Marcus Christmas Book includes 500 suggested gifts in the 175-page catalog and 40 percent of the items are priced under $250, including a $12 monogrammed mug.
The tradition of The “His & Hers” fantasy gift, continues with an outdoor entertainment system that costs $1.5 million and includes a 201-inch viewing screen and two Apple mini iPads that serve as remotes. One more extravagant and enough expensive gift is the $150,000 Bespoke Global Falconry Companion – a trunk full of luxe equipment for experiencing an ancient sport once reserved for nobles of Medieval Europe, the Middle East, and the Mongolian Empire. For diamond lovers, there is $1,850,000 Forevermark Ultimate Diamond Experience, whose buyer will get not only the 25-carat rough Forevermark diamond, but also the once-in-a-lifetime adventure which includes the trip into the heart of Africa to discover where the stone began its journey more than one billion years ago.
Last year’s offerings included 9 Fantasy Most Expensive Gifts, such as Neiman Marcus Edition 2012 McLaren 12C Spider, a set of “His & Hers” watches paired with a trip to Paris and Geneva for just over $1 million.
