The latest portable Bluetooth speaker from B&O Play is the Beoplay P2. The most interesting thing about this speaker is a lack of buttons or switches. Beoplay P2 has tap and shake interactions that can be customized via Beoplay App.
The casing of P2 is made up from a pearl blasted, anodized aluminium grill over the speaker and a polymer base underneath. A genuine leather strap adds an extra level of portability.
A new mid-woofer driver has been designed to enable the reproduction of real bass out of such a small product.
The drivers inside the speaker are dust and splash resistant – and the areas where the aluminium is attached to the polymer are sealed so dust and water can’t get in.
When talking about specifications, the P2 connects over Bluetooth 4.2, and has a microphone, USB-C charging, and some basic splash resistance. B&O Play claims that you’ll be able to get up to 10 hours of music off a charge.
Priced at $169, the Beoplay P2 is available from the B&O Play website in black, sand stone, and royal blue colors.
