It comes in three models who comes from a work of Andrea Palladio: The Sonus Faber Olympica I, II, III. The Olympica I has 2-way bookshelf, Olympica II has 3-way Floor standing, and the Olympica III has 4-way floor standing. They are recently unveiled at the Munich High End event which was held from May 9 to May 12.
These speakers use a high degree of wood and leather, and fits in enough within them to ensure the theatre like sounds of the Vicenza Teatro Olimpi. The wood is natural walnut, making up the base plates of the speakers. Even the joints have been made with high grade maple wood, but have been given the authentic walnut wooden finish. The top is covered in natural leather, and so is the front baffle and the rear face of the set. On the top, the leather cover has the Sonus Faber Logos in aluminum finish.
The specially designed asymmetry reduces internal resonances and provides space for the flex bass system. Sonus Faber Olympica Loudspeakers boasts 29 mm dome 29XTR2 tweeters with DAD technology and Neodymium magnet, 150 mm mid-range cone crafted from a mixture of cellulose, kenaf and kapok, and 180mm conical woofer with cellulose pulp membrane and Syntactic foam.
