This month will be exactly 100 years since the Titanic went on his last journey. On the 100th anniversary of the launch of the Titanic, Romain Jerome pays tribute to the ship that inspired its very first timepiece collection by launching two new models: Steampunk Auto 100th Anniversary and Steampunk Chrono 100th Anniversary. Everyone who even remotely knows anything about Romain Jerome watches, knows that those watches are made from pieces of metal that belong to the real Titanic ship.
Both models are housed in a 50-mm-diameter case which boast of a bezel in oxidized and then stabilized steel stemming from a fusion between metal from the legendary wreck lying 3,840 meters under, and that provided by the Harland & Wolff shipyards where the Titanic was built. If you take a look closer, you will see a rusty part, that makes it a real representative of Titanic. Also, the models feature engraved casebacks with a medallion commemorating the centennial of the Titanic’s launch date.
Water-resistant to 30 meters; on black rubber strap with black PVD buckle, both of the Steampunk models are limited to 100 pieces each.
