Romain Jerome Titanic DNA Steampunk Watch
Luxury watch makers Romain Jerome have an array of limited edition timepieces that possesses what they call Titanic DNA. The term refers to the fact that the watches have bezels made from authentic steel from the wreck of the Titanic, lying 3,840 meters under the sea, and steel supplied by the Harland & Wolff shipyards in Belfast, where the Titanic was built almost a century ago. The latest watch to land in this DNA collection is the Romain Jerome Titanic DNA Tourbillon Steampunk.
It’s 50mm diameter case, same as Titanic-DNA had, but differ with its feature that uses a movement without a tourbillon -which certainly help with affordability. Its hands resemble to the Titanic’s anchor and watch will have Swiss technology. The “X” motif of the bezel claws are continued with screws that go deep into the dial. These screws are also meant to resemble steam engine pistons. The large Roman numeral hour markers for 12 and 6 are large and purposes done in a scratched-up texture.
The Romain Jerome Steampunk watch will be limited to just 2,012 pieces with a price of 12,500 Swiss Francs ($13,000).
