Sirin Labs has officially launched a super high-end Android smartphone dubbed Sirin Solarin at a Tuesday press conference in London. The device is priced at £9,500 plus VAT, or $16,560 including U.S. taxes, but for that price you’ll get the top-of-the-range phone that promises military-grade encryption technology to protect users’ calls and messages and is aimed squarely at business leaders, celebrities, VIPs and of course super-rich.
In terms of specifications, the smartphone features a 5.5-inch IPS LED display with a 2K screen along with a 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution. It uses Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for protection. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor paired with 4GB RAM.
Running Android 5.1 Lollipop, the Sirin Solarin includes an internal storage of 128GB. It comes equipped with a 23.8MP rear camera with an 8MP front facing camera. It is backed by a 4040mAh battery and weighs 250 grams.
Sirin Solarin will be available in variants such as Fire Black Carbon Leather with Titanium; Fire Black Carbon Leather with Diamond-like Carbon; Fire Black Carbon Leather with Yellow Gold, and Crystal White Carbon Leather with Diamond-like Carbon.
