Sit on My Face and tell me that you love meeeeeeeeee! , once Monty Python have sung, until The US Federal Communications Commission has ruled that the song is actionably indecent. I don’t know what you think of when hear Sit on my face, but probably not to sit on face of President Obama, Lady Gaga, George Clooney, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Anna Wintour, Ryan Reynolds, Rayan Gosling, Katie Holmes, Sophia Vergara or Jennifer Lopez. Exactly that had on mind world-renowned photographer Jennifer Graylock when created these Limited Edition Art Chairs, ambiguous dubbed Sit On My Face.
“The idea of the chairs began with the question of celebrity fascination,” she told. “The creative process took me on a ride to examine the essence of celebrity fascination, all the pomp and circumstance … Then it hit me to use chairs as a frame for my celebrity images. Now I can say Angelina and Clooney are in my living room and I just sat on their faces. There is something a bit naughty about saying ‘Sit on my face’ which I find hilarious.”
With over 20 years of experience, New York-based photographer Jennifer Graylock has captured the world’s most glamorous and iconic personalities, and her photographic collection is one of the largest topical photo archives of celebrities and fashion in existence. That wasn’t enough for her, so she’s immortalised celebrities further by turning her images into pieces of furniture.
