The St. Regis Bora Bora Resort is partnering with one of Europe’s young fashion sensations, Cecilie Melli, to create the ultimate wedding package, worth $250,000, that will be offered at The Carousel of Hope charity event on October 20th in Beverly Hills. Sponsored by Mercedes-Benz, the auction event will be hosted by Jay Leno with George Clooney as the guest of honor.
Melli is the Norwegian designer, who among other has designed a selection of original wedding gowns, including the Lady Bora Bora, which will be available for rent or purchase through the resort’s new Bridal Boutique program, where also can hire “Romance Butler” to advise and assist in all planning and preparation for the perfect dream wedding.
“Our new wedding program brings the concept of one-stop-shopping to those brides planning a destination wedding, which in our case happens to be at of the most beautiful and romantic places in the world. What could be more desirable, elegant and meaningful than to have all the details of your wedding planned for you, complete with an exquisite, original wedding gown created by one of today’s fabulous young stars of fashion—and you don’t even have to go through the trouble of bringing it with you! We are enormously delighted to work with Cecilie. I know our guests will be equally thrilled,” said Michael Schoonewagen, general manager.
The dream wedding includes 10-night stay at the St. Regis Bora Bora’s Royal Estate Villa, which spreads over 13,000 square feet and is comprised of three separate pavilions that revolve around a private pool, while during the ceremony and reception, the bride will wear Lady Bora Bora, a dress designed by Cecilie Melli. Also included are all meals, roundtrip tickets from Los Angeles to Tahiti, airport transfers, water activities and five villas for five couples for five nights to share the memories. The rehearsal dinner will take place at Lagoon by Jean-Georges, while the couple’s once-in-a-lifetime experience will be captured by a photographer throughout the day.
