Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Tokyo
The Mandarin Oriental Tokyo Hotel is turning five this year and instead of celebrating with a party featuring acrobats pouring champagne from chandeliers or a pop singer, they’ve decided to put together an unusual hotel package, full rental of the hotel for one-night.
The promotion includes use of all the facilities that make up the urban oasis that is the Mandarin. For 21 hours after 3:00 p.m. check-in, the customer gets 178 guest rooms and suites, nine restaurants, spas and Grand Ballroom. Speaking of grand, the accommodation plan comes with a cocktail reception for 500 people with the dessert portion catered by a Japanese pastry chef who took the cake at the World Pastry Team Championship this summer. The offer is available until Novenber 30, 2011.
Gen Yoshida, the hotel’s communications officer, says it is the first time for any Mandarin Oriental to offer such a package. The Hong Kong-based Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group currently operates, or has under development, 41 luxury hotels spread across 27 countries.
So if you think $670,000 is not a heavy price to pay for privacy then you had better contact the hotel right away.
