If your in the market for a very unique looking watch then the Urwerk UR-110 Torpedo Watch is definitely worth a look and has many unique feature to keep you happy. The Urwerk UR-110 watch is one stunning work of art. As a brand, Urwerk has always opted for complexity, and this watch certainly continues that tradition.
The new Urwerk’s watch uses a revolving satellite complication featuring three parallel markers that rotate to display the time while aiming at a metered scale on the right. Those torpedo time hands rotate throughout the day, with hour and minute markers revolving, working in concert to display the current time. The ingenuity of this layout lies in allowing the wearer to view the time discreetly and elegantly without the need to pull a cuff or sleeve back.
The Urwerk UR-110 torpedo watch is made out of Grade 5 titanium with a stainless steel bezel; it measures at a large 47mm x 51mm x 16mm and is water resistant to 30 meters. The watch also comes with an Oil Change indicator and a Day/Night indicator to check the changing time zones. The twin air turbines on the back minimize wear in the automatic winding system. No information has been released as yet to the Urwerk UR-110 Watch retail price.
I’m not sure if one needs to do regular oil changes on this watch every 5,000 miles or every three months. [Urwerk]
