The Pure White Crocodile Skin Handbag by Victoria Beckham
Former Spice Girl, Victoria Beckham has designed unique white crocodile skin one-off Handbag for high-end store Selfridges’ Christmas Collection. Luxury handbag is a pure white crocodile skin clutch bag with a gold linked chain and will be the only one to exist in the world. Priced at £8,995 ($14,750), the bag was unveiled at the Selfridges’ store in London on Friday.
Animal rights group PETA certainly are not thrilled with this Victoria’s creation. We appreciate Ms. Beckham’s rejection of fur and have approached her – 100 percent respectfully – over the suffering of lizards and other reptiles who are often skinned alive for fashion, said a spokesman for the animal rights organization David W. Perle. Selfridges obviously does not care much for their attitude.
Many of items showed at Selfridges’ Oxford Street store in London, had a white theme: a wedding dress by Brazilian Daniella Helayel of Issa fame priced at £620 ($1,015), white silk underwear that display a real diamond by Nichole de Carle for £300 ($490) and a men’s double-breasted trench coat for £995 ($1,630) by Burberry. Other goodies include an ultra-expensive advent calendar that costs a staggering £18,000 ($29,500). This comprises a piece of furniture that carries a miniature designer accessory to mark each day. The likes of Christian Louboutin have contributed to this.
Our buyers have worked hard throughout the year to ensure this year’s Christmas collection is packed full of products to inspire and surprise our customers who travel from around the world to visit our store at this special time of year, Selfridges’ managing director Anne Pitcher said. [Selfridges]
