President Putin has bought a new villa La Zagaleta, which is probably the most valuable in this part of the world …
His new villa costed minimum €35million, although we do not have the exact price. Putin bought this villa in order to deal with winemaking, and he also engaged Danish oenologist Peter Sisseck to oversee both the production of the grapes and the later bottling process.
Twenty five vines from the top Burgos-based Bodega ‘Pingus’ – some 500 miles from the Costa del Sol will be planted into a series of sun-soaked terraces surrounding his new mansion high in the Marbella Hills.
Pingus is described as a ‘cult wine’ which can be sold at extremely high prices after the vines are cultivated without the use of either fertiliser or pesticides. Single vintage bottles can demand prices in excess of €900.
Following a highly-controlled harvest, Putin’s version of this wine will be produced in two huge underground basements, located in his villa with ten bedrooms. He bought this villa two years ago, and until now has dealt with her redesign.
The wine he will produce will mature in French oak barrels in the aforementioned basements, whose installation cost about €1,400,000.
The villa is located in an exclusive and enclosed La Zagaleta estate, has a private heliodrom and a garage with enough space for 22 cars. His Spanish home is located a short distance from the airport of Malaga, features more than 18,000 m2 and is located 400 meters above sea level, less than 10 kilometers from the beach.
His mega house has a formal piano bar, as well as a library decorated with wooden panels, extending on two levels.
On the lower level there is a private swimming pool, with a separate Jacuzzi and a spa with fitness equipment, while there is also a home theater, near the wine cellar with a private champagne bar.
As the world’s media claim, many Putin friends and associates are expected to buy their property in this region, and many of them already own properties in this part of the world. Otherwise, this part of La Zagaleta is under constant police supervision, so owners of mega villas can safely enjoy everything their life provides.
